About Queen City Jewelry

Why pay full price, when our prices for the same items are so much cheaper?! Queen City Pawn & Jewelry began as a diamond wholesale company when it first opened more than 40 years ago. Following the recession in 2008-2010, we needed to restructure the business, so we converted it into a pawn shop and jewelry store in January 2011.
The pawn shop has brought an interesting dynamic to our fun-loving environment. We have over 60 years of combined jewelry experience, specializing in custom jewelry and manufacturing. Because of our many years of experience, we are able to offer many different services to our customers. We offer great products for great prices, and we keep a very high standard on the products we sell.
If you’re in the neighborhood, stop on by and see us! We have a great environment, fun people, and great service! We have the largest selection of quality pre-owned and new merchandise of all kinds

If you don’t like to pay retail for your stuff, come see us first. We have many sought after and unique items at a fraction of the retail cost. We get items from auctions, the internet, local sellers and many other sources that most stores don’t have access to. Our prices are well below what you would expect to pay every day!

How It Works

The State of Ohio, Division of Financial Institutions, inspects, regulates, and licenses Ohio Pawnbrokers.

The terms are set by the state. Loans are held for a minimum of 120 days and the interest rates are 6% + $6 every 30 days. Other fees, such as mailing fees, may apply. The pledgor, therefore, has that amount of time to either redeem the loan and pick up their item by repaying the principal amount borrowed plus the accrued interest charge(s) and storage fees or may make a payment of the interest and storage fees to extend the life of the loan. If the pledgor fails to make a payment or to pay off their loan by the end of the loan period, the item forfeits, becomes the property of the pawnbroker, and is sold. These defaulted items become the bargains you see in the shop.

Below is a table detailing the redemption amount based on how many days have elapsed since the loan was disbursed.
Loan Amount < 30 days 30-59 days  60-89 days 90-119 days
$50 $59 $68 $77 $86
$100 $112 $124 $136 $148
$200 $218 $236 $254 $272
